What is Autobio Library?
Content A one stop blog to link the world with your blog, your journal, or your recorded autobiography. It’s just that simple.

Our goal: To inspire everyone to create their own autobiographical blog. This way, you will have access to editing your entries, working on your autobiography at your own pace and Autobio Library will archive your link.

How it works:

Existing bloggers: e-mail us your blog link and we will post it. This way, your blog is in our archives for others to find.

Non bloggers: Establish a blog on wordpress or eblogger. It is easy and we can help you upon request. It’s okay that starting your story from your oldest memories means that it will be blogged chronologically backdated- people who read will get that. Start from your earliest memories and record your story at your pace. When you’re ready, submit your blog link to: myownbackyardcommunity@gmail.com and we will post your link in the “about” section.

Why is this so important to us?

I tend to find myself losing links to blogs I enjoy, and tire from searching for new blogs based on “subjects” I enjoy. This is a place for PEOPLE’S STORIES though if yours happens to be daily events, we’ll accept that. Yet, we HIGHLY encourage you to write your AUTOBIOGRAPHY.

Not a writer per-say?

It doesn’t matter. Just write. A good guide is to think in chapters of your life. Here is simple outline:

My Life- By Jon Doe

A. Intro: Who I am, what I like, what I hate, what consumes me

B. Chapter I: Childhood

     1. Where was I born. What was it like there?

    2. Family. Who? Origins. Family structure

    3. Memories- good, bad

    4. Perspective in hindsight

C. Adolesence

     1. Who was I then

     2. Friends, loves, memories, perspectives, dreams

     3. Where did I see myself?

D. Twenties

    1. Repeat format of C through decades.

E. Current

    1. Repeat format of C and include thoughts of future, current events, opinions, values, etc.

REMEMBER: This format allows you to change your posts at anytime!

Society has depended on the records and accounts of past generations since the beginning of time to sustain, grow, invent, prepare, inspire and to learn. Where will our histories go when we do? Where would we be without the stories of the everyday person? Prophecies of ancients, philosophical documentation, inventions, war time accounts, religous documents… all relied on the recordings of every day people.

Stop. Think. Record. Pass Along. Move Forward.
